Manchester visited the Cougar den for a middle school showdown Tuesday night.
The visiting Squires traded baskets for the entire first half, as neither team could pull away.
Manchester led 7 to 5 after the first quarter, only to see the Cougars tie it up 17 heading to the break.
In the 3rd, Crestview pour gasoline onto what was already a high octane paced game, putting up 19 points to grab a 36 to 24 lead.
The final quarter played out nearly even as the Cougars wrapped up a 44 to 30 win.
Zach Nash turned in a stellar performance for Crestview, totaling 30 points on the night
Gavin Martin led Manchester with 11 points.

The 8th grade contest saw the Cougars firing on all cylinders early, using well executed transition basketball to break out to an 11 to 0 lead before closing quarter one up 13 to 4.
The pace slowed a bit in the 2nd quarter, as both teams put in 6 points a piece, ending the
half with Crestview ahead 19 to 10.
Manchester opened the second half with back to back 3 pointers to close the gap to 19 to 16.
Crestview was able to stymie the rally and closed the 3rd on top by 25-18 score.
The Cougars clamped down on the defensive end in the final quarter, closing things out with 12 to 1 run and winning 31 to 19.
Wesley Huff and Aric Hosler lead Crestview with 12 and 11 points.
The Squires were paced by Maddox Zolman's 7 points.
