At the Weston Close Memorial Wrestling Classic

Huntington North High School honored its wrestling team seniors on Saturday morning, January 11, at North Arena. This specific meet was the Weston Close Memorial Wrestling Classic, in honor of Weston Lynn Close who was killed in a car wreck on June 29, 2006.
Weston was a two-year varsity letter winner for the Huntington North Wrestling team. He was a life resident of Huntington County and was employed with Close Builders in Bippus and also worked weekends for Stephan Trucking in Roanoke. He was a member of the Bippus Calvary United Methodist Church in Bippus and was active in Huntington County 4-H. He played summer baseball for the Andrews Lions Club Team and had hobbies that included baseball, hunting, fishing an the outdoors.

Brayden Kinsey has been a part of the HNHS wrestling team for one year. He participates in the JROTC Raider team and is a part of the color guard. He plans to join the Army Special Forces after graduation. His father is Scott Kinsey and his mother is Chrissy Kinsey.
Brodie Lindaas has been a part of the HNSH wrestling team for one year. He participates in the JROTC Raider, color guard and archery teams, as well as Spanish club. He plans to join the military and become an Army Ranger. His parents are Andy Lindaas and Jessica Waggoner.
Arno Hansen, an exchange student at HNHS, has been wrestling at HNHS for one year. He participates in JROTC and plans to go back to Germany to finish school after the school year is over. Andy Lindaas and Jessica Waggoner accompanied Arno for the senior walk.
Carson Moyer is a four-year member of the HNHS wrestling team. He plans to become a police officer after graduation. He was accompanied by mother Kristy Bowen and friend Jacob Hall for the senior walk.
Oscar Baltazar has participated in HNHS wrestling for three years. After graduation, he plans to join the military, become an electrician and afterward become a chef. He was accompanied by Zachary Leffel for the senior walk.
Reo Horie is a four-year member of the HNHS wrestling team. He has been a part of the JROTC for three years and is a member of the National Honors Society. He plans to attend Ball State University for property management and ROTC. He was also accepted into the Honors College at Ball State and plans to commission into the army after college. His mother is Kristy Bowen.
Anna Elliott is a two-year member of the wrestling team. She also plays soccer for HNHS and has participated in JROTC Raider. SHe is the Battalion Commander of the JROTC program, a 10-year member of 4-H and is a member of the National Honor Society. She will be attending BYU-Idaho to study English. She was accompanied by Jenny Elliott.
