Meg finds inspiration in her parents inspire me; they both ran cross country and track at Huntington University and work hard each and every day in their professions. Coach Hines, the Girls’ Basketball coach, has been a big inspiration to me this season. My faith is very important to me and he has set a great example of letting faith be fuel to your passions. I am also inspired daily by my teammates.
Favorite Athletic Memory:
There’s too many to choose from, but some of my favorites would probably be going to semi-state as a cross country team, winning against Concordia by scoring 13 points in the last 2:30 minutes of the game, or winning the 4x4 relay and the 400m dash in the 8th lane at the conference track season last year.
I would like to thank my family for always being so supportive of me and my dreams, past coaches who have not only coached me in season but set great examples of leadership, leadership in faith, good character, and for expecting nothing different than that from me, and lastly, I would like to thank Nick and Lauren Johnson as well as Coach Childs for giving me the opportunity to be a part of such a fantastic family of a team.
